Green Economy Evaluation in Environmental Ethics Perspective

Abstract

In recent years, especially in the global context, the limitation and use of resources, hunger, poverty and deteriorating climatic processes are the most brought to the agenda. The capitalist capital and production process, which leads in the same way as the brown economy; In the underdeveloped and developing countries where the aforementioned agenda issues are experienced the most; They have faced famine, poverty, global warming and the threats posed by this factor. Among the triggers of environmental pollution; dependence on non-renewable energies and the high increase in the population manifest themselves.

The green economy model, which is a savior, has been developed in the search for answers to these global problems by experts. Green economy is a model that puts the basis of the sustainable principle that centers on the environment, people and life. While aiming to reduce these risks, the green economy; It aims to follow a fair life on behalf of humanity and future generations, an equal order and a path to be drawn according to the needs and to prevent disproportionate wealth.

In the article, after briefly mentioning the definition and approaches of environmental ethics, the brown and green economy will be explained and compared, the green economy process will be discussed on the axis of conferences, papers and adaptation to social life. After a brief perspective is presented to the place of the green economy approach in its policies and plans, the criticism, advantages and disadvantages of the green economy will be explained. Finally, in the context of these approaches discussed and explained on the axis of environmental ethics, the green economy process will be evaluated and tried to be explained.
